Sellers worth watching & Go Aggregator

eBay vendors that sell Go equipment

A new 18cm shin-kaya goban being offered by Japanese Go on eBay

In one of yesterday's posts, I had provided a sample boolean search string to help you find Go stuff on eBay. Today, I'm featuring a list of eBay sellers who sell Go equipment (some exclusively). Let me know if there are others out there.
  • Board Game Go - Contemporary gobans and Ing Goe stones
  • Go Gamestore - Chinese Yunzi stones, marble stones and shin-kaya boards
  • GoPlayer2006 - Collections of current Chinese Go books
  • Japanese Go - New and used Japanese Go equipment and antiques. These goods ship from Japan to customers worldwide.
  • KHH Limited - Korean glass stones, Agathis sets and magnetic sets. They also sell tarps for outdoor activities.
  • Samarkand - Ms. Kim's eBay outlet
  • Yellow Mountain Imports - Chinese Kaya, Shin-Kaya and Bamboo sets. They also sell Chinese collectibles.
WHOA! The Go Gamestore is now offering Yunzi/Jujube/Spruce (1") sets
starting at $60. Is this a price-challenge to Yellow Mountain Imports?

For your convenience, I've added a Go eBay search link to the Shopping sub-section of the links in the right column of this blog but you can also access it below.

Please note that this search criteria excludes DVDs.

Go Aggregator

thrashor (5k) has put together Go Aggregator which collects self-syndication feeds on one blog. Go Aggregator currently features news, discussions, sgfs, and blogs. A similar project exists on Go4Go but I hadn't seen any blogs on it.

If you've been following the comments to this blog, there's a possibility that thrashor might also add a feed for eBay auctions.

Go Aggregator is, in my humble opinion, the way to create a specialty online newspaper and it's a wonderful contribution to the Go community. thrashor is currently using Blogger and Blogspot as his publishing tools (the same ones I am using).

Sometime in the future, it would be great to develop a customized template to make it look like an online news site. I imagine that thrashor may already have this in mind.

Awaiting the gobans

My shipment from Yellow Mountain Imports was delayed. It's currently enroute from Sacramento, California. frankiii's shipment should be arriving by the middle of next week. So far, responses from YMI's customer service has been prompt.

We are of one mind on the future of Go Aggregator. Your input on a number of points is appreciated. Although, if I move to a "news site" format, I will have to come up with a better name!

By the way, my pride requires that I state that despite my terrible play on KGS using the accounts cht and thrashor, my Canadian Go Association ranking is a considerably more respectable 5 kyu :)

BTW, CGA ranks are now online in a pdf doc.

It'll be interesting to see Go Aggregator evolve. If you find yourself stumped for a new name, just hold a contest.

Ah! Gomen! Gomen! A thousand pardons on the rank faux pax. I have only the KGS ranks to go by.

Just wanted to add some feedback on goplayer2006. I have gotten quite a few go books from him and they all were excellent. Fast shipping, courteous service, i can recommend this seller.
